Rollie Otto is coordinator for the Academy for Science Teaching and Learning. He teaches in the 5th grade student outreach and the Middle School After School programs. He also coordinates the Academy's teacher professional development activities. Rollie teaches a course (Careers in Science and Technology) for Berkeley Lab scientific and technical staff for visiting school classrooms. Rollie recently retired as Director of Berkeley Lab’s Center for Science and Engineering after 33 years as science educator, researcher, and manager at Berkeley Lab.
Dale Koistinen is program coordinator for outreach to students and schools. These include the 5th grade school tours program at Berkeley Lab and the 5th grade school lessons program at the school sites. Dale has over 40 years science teaching and administrative experience. He has over 38 years experience as a science teacher and science program coordinator with the Oakland Unified School District.
Peggy McMahon
Carl Pennypacker is the director of the Hands-On Universe program and an astronomer at the University of California-Berkeley and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
