I am a theoretical cosmologist at the National Nuclear Research Institute in Mexico, and presently on sabbatical leave for a year. I am currently working at the Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics in the Physics Division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. I received my PhD from the University of Konstanz in Germany in theoretical cosmology. I have carried out research with different groups in the University of Konstanz (Germany), U. Sussex (UK), and Astrophysical Institute Postdam (Germany).
My research interests are:
1) Theoretical cosmology: inflationary models, quintessence with non-minimally coupling terms, and f(R) theories. Unified models of inflation, dark energy, and dark matter.
2) Theoretical astrophysics: Effects of alternative theories of
gravity on stellar and galactic scales.
3) Theoretical aspects of alternative theories of gravity.
